Italian in Downtown, LA @BestiaDTLA

I work, breathe, and eat in Downtown, Los Angeles. Bestia just popped up on my radar and I was determined to try it. They are usually booked but I found a reservation for 2 a little later in the night.

Here’s a list of what we ordered – I recommend them all…

*(image) Midollo al Forno a Legna
roasted marrow bone. porcini breadcrumbs. gnoccehtti. aged balsamico.

*Batillarda di Salumi Nostrano
house made, chef’s selection of cured meats. traditional condiments. grilled bread.

*Octopus & Calamari

*Cavatelli alla Norcina
ricotta cavatelli. house made, pork sausage. black truffles. grana padano.

Some items on the menu go fast if you get there later. We will definitely be returning to try the mussels, beef heart tartare and a few others dishes.
