This is a new cupcake Bottega Louie introduced that I tired the other day. I highly recommend it in you’re in the area. Very flavorful and the jam in the center is delicious.

S’mores is one of my favorite sweets. I could have it any time of the day, as many times in a day and not get sick of it. This is just a little late-night-snack I made. The more marshmallows the better.

I came upon this wonderful dessert last year @ the Coachella music festival. The line was definitely worth the wait. Vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate with nuts and sprinkles in between waffles.

Today was the day. The famous Sprinkles cupcakes opened their Downtown Los Angeles location at 7+Fig.

The picture is not the best quality, but you can tell how small the place is. Primarily for the cupcake lover who knows exactly what they want. The long lines are pretty normal for any Sprinkles location, but if you are in the area and craving a cupcake, I highly recommend it. It’s worth the wait. So far their red velvet cupcake is the best I’ve had.

I work, breathe, and eat in Downtown, Los Angeles. Bestia just popped up on my radar and I was determined to try it. They are usually booked but I found a reservation for 2 a little later in the night.

Here’s a list of what we ordered – I recommend them all…

roasted marrow bone. porcini breadcrumbs. gnoccehtti. aged balsamico.

*Batillarda di Salumi Nostrano
house made, chef’s selection of cured meats. traditional condiments. grilled bread.

*Octopus & Calamari

*Cavatelli alla Norcina
ricotta cavatelli. house made, pork sausage. black truffles. grana padano.

Some items on the menu go fast if you get there later. We will definitely be returning to try the mussels, beef heart tartare and a few others dishes.
