BLD restaurant, Los Angeles.

Left: Spicy jalapeno margarita – tastes just like it sounds. I would recommend this drink wherever you see it on a menu.

Right: whiskey fizz – whiskey, lemon juice, gomme syrup, soda water, & egg white.

**Found this recipe for the cocktail online**
(3 parts) Whiskey
30ml (2 parts) Fresh lemon juice
10ml (1 part) Gomme syrup
80ml (5 parts) Soda water

The WordPress.com Blog

Last year we launched wordpress.com/restaurants, giving restaurants the ability to quickly and easily build a site with menus, maps and directions, an OpenTable reservations widget, and more, along with an elegant new free theme. Since then, we’ve seen restaurants from venerable favorites to underground supper clubs using WordPress.com to entice customers with websites as beautiful as their signature dishes. Here are a few whose sites (and menus!) we love:

POSH

Posh Restaurant, Scottsdale AZPOSH is an “improvisational restaurant” in Scottsdale, Arizona where Chef Josh Herbert creates custom menus for each evening’s crowd based on seasonal ingredients and personal preferences. Using the Confit theme developed especially for restaurants, he’s able to give potential patrons a feel for the restaurant with a custom background photo showcasing the restaurant’s interior while maintaining a clean overall feel.

I had very high expectations about Ink, mostly due to the yelp page. It was both mine and my friends first time there. Since they have a very small menu we wanted to get the servers opinion on what to order….he had NONE! We went out on a limb and ordered a couple of things. The beef tartare was the best thing we ate. We thought maybe we just ordered the wrong things, until we ran into a lady in the bathroom who disliked the food as well.

If you love good food I don’t recommend you wasting your time and money here.

Lola's Peruvian in Glendale, CA #Glendale #Peruvian

This is the traditional ceviche with shrimp. Sometime’s they overdo the lemon in a ceviche, but I was content with Lola’s. I wouldn’t say it’s better than home-made ceviche, where you can control how much of the ingredients you put in. Still a good eat.

I waited a while after Coco Laurent opened to finally try it out, and it was a very good dining experience. We sat at our table towards the end of brunch, and by the time we finished our starters, the menu switched to dinner. It was a good way to try different things.

Last but not least, the dessert. This is a new restaurant and for now they didn’t have a wide selection of desserts. It was a caramel/vanilla custard with a meringue on top, accompanied with vanilla crackers.

They also had a chocolate mousse desserts that we did not try.
